A personal data breach has occurred at the University of Helsinki. Student names were collected at the Faculty of Science from a Moodle platform into an Excel file.

Once or twice each academic year, the faculties organise a graduation ceremony with speeches, music and toasts raised in honour of the new degree holders.

The new sports center on the Viikki campus will serve both students and staff, providing comprehensive opportunities to stay active in everyday life.

In 2026, it will be the turn of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki to place the graduation cap on our city’s Mermaid of the Baltic, Havis Amanda.

The curricula of degree programmes and the Language Centre have been published for the 2026–2027 period. Likewise, preliminary teaching programmes for 2026–2027 are now available.

As a National Library of Finland customer, you can access the Oxford University Voltaire platform remotely during a trial period until 30 April.

Every degree student’s annual duty is here again: if your studies continue in the autumn, register for the next academic year by August 31, 2026.
