Morning coffee with the rector? New community event on 20 October

Rector Sari Lindblom will meet the University community at informal morning coffee sessions, the first of which will take place in October. At each event, a group of 10 people assembled through advance registration can chat directly with the rector while enjoying refreshments. Don’t hesitate to join in!

What does working and studying at the University look like from your perspective? What ideas do you have for developing University operations? Where would you like to see the University in five years’ time? What do we need more or less of?

The morning coffee sessions make it possible to discuss topics such as these directly with the rector. These sessions will see the rector and a group from the University community convening for informal discussion, without a fixed agenda.

“I hope to meet the widest possible range of people from the University community. Informal discussion with a small group is an opportunity to bring up ideas and development targets in everyday work and studying directly to me,” says Rector Sari Lindblom.

Participants can use Finnish, Swedish and English.

Participants for the morning coffee sessions will be drawn from among those indicating their interest. Each session will accommodate 10 people: five employees and five students. The purpose of a small group of participants is to ensure that each individual will be heard.

The first coffee session will be held on Tuesday, 20 October from 9.00 to 10.00 in Think Corner’s Think Nook venue on the City Centre Campus. Please indicate your interest via Lyyti by Monday, 28 September.

All registered participants will be notified by 6 October whether they have been chosen for the coffee session. Those chosen will be asked to confirm their participation.

The rector’s morning coffee sessions are a new concept that will be further developed on the basis of experiences gained. The second session will be held on 1 December.
